Friday night, there was a terrorist attack in our country. Yet it did not make the news, it only appeared in the local paper (Dayton Daily News), and was eventually picked up by both DailyKos and The Huffington Post.

A chemical irritant was sprayed into a mosque in Dayton, Ohio. There was not a single mention on any major news outlet. If this had happened to a church the mainstream media would be up in arms. The presidential candidates would be speaking about the need to protect Americans from Muslim extremists.

In fact, it would likely be the focal point of one of their campaigns. Where is the protection for those Americans of the Muslim faith? Where is the outrage? Why is there no one wanting to protect Muslims from harm, from terrorist attacks? Or is it believed only Muslims can be terrorists?

We cannot let this stand, this is America. We are supposed to have the freedom to worship whatever god we choose(or none if the case may be). Our government needs to take a stand and say terrorism is not acceptable, regardless of who is the target.

By ignoring this issue, we are condoning acts of terror. Granted, we do not know what chemical was sprayed into the mosque, so we don't know if it even could have been deadly. But terrorism is not about killing people, it is about causing a panic in a community.

This act accomplished that goal. We are becoming a nation of hate and intolerance, we cannot allow this to continue. We, the citizens, are the only ones who can do anything.

Always remember, are all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

This was by NO means a terrorist attack. It was just two idiots with a can of pepper spray. I am not defending their actions, I'm just saying it is not a national news story by any means. (Continued…)
