Daniels is a guy with a sense of humor on and off the stage. Tomorrow at 8 p.m. catch him in action as he tells his life story through humor and wit.
Last year at the National Association for Campus Activities Conference Daniels performed some "half-way clean material" that made everyone laugh, Entertainment Intern Nicole McClain said.
SEAL students decided it was only fair to share the experience with UW-W and other colleges in the area such as Fox Valley, Parkside and Stevens Point Jan Bilgen, associate director of Career & Leadership Development said.
Daniels' current tour of 12 states and over 50 cities started on Aug. 22 at Eastern Illinois University and is set to end May 5 at the Nebraska Weslyan.
This is the first time Daniels will make an appearance at the UW-W campus.
With raw material sure to have you gasping for air, Daniels will create vivid images of annoying kids, common relationship issues and his favorite, everyday random things we see.
"He is actually funny," Savoy Jefferson, entertainment intern for SEAL said. "You may see some guys that are just up there telling a few jokes, but I watched some YouTube clips and he's quite funny. I don't laugh easily so it's refreshing to know he's funny."
According to Daniels' Web site, he got his first break in comedy 10 years ago at his first open mic night hosted in Minneapolis' ACME Comedy Company. This led to an opportunity to be the Master of Ceremonies at the Westward Ho in Grand Forks, ND.
Daniels has toured the country performing at colleges, bars, bowling alleys and clubs.
After meeting up with Allen Funt, producer and director of Candid Camera, Daniels was able to expand his audience by being featured on "The Late Late Show," Comedy Central's "Laugh Riot" competition, the Montreal "Just For Laughs" comedy and arts festival and later he got his own spotlight on Comedy Central Presents…Chad Daniels.
Daniels is a family man, married with two children, and often uses his kids in his material.
Daniel's performance tomorrow is a great alternative to going to the bar, Jefferson said.
