Rosa's Pizza has expanded its business by purchasing Double Dip Deli. The new Rosa's will include a broader variety of options including ice cream.

"Talks between us and Double Dip had been going on for a while," co-owner of Rosa's Pizza Sean Stemper said. "But the talks got serious about four or five months ago."

Rosa's, which acquired Double Dip Deli from owner Bill Bowen in June, reopened in the former Double Dip location on July 8. Double Dip Deli had operated in Whitewater for 17 years.

The new Rosa's Pizza will feature many of their original menu items as well as adding a few that may be familiar to Double Dip Deli customers.

"Right now just soup and salad bar, and ice cream, but as we get adjusted to the new store we will look into adding new menu items," Stemper said of Rosa's new menu items.

The new building gives Rosa's Pizza considerably more room and will allow for customer seating. Rosa's Pizza has been operating in the Whitewater community since 1997.

Rosa's offers carry out or delivery and is open seven days a week. Restaurant hours are Sunday and Monday 11 a.m. to midnight, and Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Rosa's Pizza has taken over the lease of the old Double Dip Deli building. The new location is located at 180 W. Main St.
