David and Lolita Kachel and the Kachel family have contributed $1.5 million to help out with UW-Whitewater's multi-sport athletic complex.

The funds will be used toward the installation of a synthetic surface and other improvements to Perkins Stadium.

"It's a very generous contribution from a family that has been good supporters of the university in a lot of ways," Interim Chancellor Richard Telfer said. "We have a multi-sports project, and they're helping us with various aspects."

The campus will honor the Kachels by naming the entire Warhawk athletic area the Kachel Family Sports Complex, which includes the Williams Center, the Kachel Fieldhouse, Perkins Stadium and other outdoor sports areas.

Maybe DLK should have taken that 1.5 million and invested it into the apalling living conditions of their student populated apartments.

Why would they reinvest it? UWW, the city of Whitewater and the Royal Purple have no problem with DLK. Why would you? Is it because DLK is a slum lord? Is it because UWW, the city of Whitewater and the Royal Purple never call him out on his treatment of students and his code violations?
