"I thought Matt hit some good shots," Head Coach Pat Miller said. "Both guys have good offensive capabilities."
Perry also added 11 rebounds to lead the team, while Goodwin and junior forward Kori Vernon contributed six each. Vernon also scored 14 points, and junior Myles McKay chipped in 16 against the Yellowjackets.
The win followed Wednesday's disappointing performance when the Warhawks lost to the UW-Oshkosh Titans, 80-74.
"It was a game we had to win," Miller said. "We have to defend our home court. Being wounded, you have to get back out there and get it done."
Against the Titans, the Warhawks only shot 34.5 percent in the first half and 18.8 percent from behind the arc for the entire game.
The 'Hawks followed up that performance against the Yellowjackets by coming out strong and shooting 59.4 percent from the field in the first half and 30 percent from 3-point range for the game.
"We were good offensively," Miller said. "We knew coming into the game about the inexperience of UW-Superior. However, I was very disappointed in the defensive effort."
The 85 points given up by the Warhawks was the highest total all season, and the third straight game in which they gave up at least 77 points.
"We need to work on communication, screens, and we have to get tougher," Miller said. "Every phase of defense, we need to improve in."
With the win, the Warhawks improved to 5-1 on the season. On Saturday, the team will play at Olivet College, who is just 2-4 on the year.
