Mike Baumhardt, chairman of the Homecoming Steering Committee, said early planning and an increase in the number of groups participating helped make Homecoming a success.
"Everything ran pretty smoothly," he said. "A lot of groups were already planning for this week over the summer. I think it was a great success."
Baumhardt said the number of groups participating increased from about 34 last year to 55 this year.

The winners of the Chancellor's Spirit Cup were Latinos Unidos for the student organization division, Arey/Benson for the residence hall division, and Sigma Sigma Sigma for the Greek division.
